What is decorative concrete?

Decorative concrete consists of several definitions by nature.  It can be an epoxy poured over the concrete, an overlay which is a modified grout material that goes on top of the concrete, or it can be stain that is applied to the concrete. Decorative concrete has the option of many designs that can be applied.  It gives your concrete a look that can resemble anything from wood floors to bricks and flagstone or slate.

What are the benefits of decorative concrete?

Decorative concrete offers numerous benefits, including improved aesthetics, increased durability, exceptional strength, lower maintenance requirements, weather resistance and the ability to mimic the appearance of more expensive materials like stone or brick.  Concrete can conform to any shape, and concrete can outlast traditional materials.

How long does it take to perform decorative concrete work?

The average time it takes to complete decorative concrete work can vary from 3 days up to 7 days, depending on the type of decorative concrete you choose as well as the condition of your floor and the size of the application area.  Weather can also play a factor in the length of time it takes to complete a job.

How often should my concrete be resealed?

For acrylic sealant, we suggest once a year or at least once every two years. For polyurethane sealant, once every 3-4 years is recommended.
